The Stranglers at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo

Event Date: 12/03/2011

The longest-surviving and most “continuously successful” band to have originated in the UK since the late 70s, The Stranglers, performed live at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Friday 11th March. To date, the English rock music group have scored some 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums. Major hits “Golden Brown,” “No More Heroes” and “Always the Sun” earned The Stranglers mainstream success while their aggressive attitude identified them as one of the instigators of the UK punk rock scene. Now celebrating their 30th anniversary and the re-release of 1983’s ‘Fire and Water’ album, the band is on a UK tour playing in London and several festivals. WinkBall video reporters were there to find out what their fans love about the band and what they thought of their performance. Share your thoughts and record a video below!
