American rapper William Leonard Roberts II, better known by his stage name Rick Ross aka the “Boss (pronounced, 'bawse')” was in Birmingham on Tuesday, 3rd April 2012 to perform for his adoring fans. Ross derived his stage name from the drug trafficker “Freeway” Rick Ross. His music career started off extremely well with his debut album "Port of Miami", released in August 2006, claiming top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album sold an astonishing 187,000 copies in its first week on sale. Ross' reputation and popularity rocketed after this and he steadily became an iconic figure in Rap music. Rick Ross is truly one of the top ten rappers of the last decade who was voted 'Hottest MC in the Game' recently as well as having a notorious ongoing feud with 'Fiddy' 50 Cent. Rick will be pushing the boundaries for many years to come. WinkBall citizen video reporters Suzie and Siobhan were at The Ballroom in Birmingham where he was tearing up the stage, to capture the passion of those in attendance. Were YOU at the gig?
