WinkBall citizen video reporters Karen, Fred and Oliver were at the Powers Bar in Kilburn, to gather reviews on The Undertones, who performed live on Friday 17th June 2011. The Undertones are a punk rock/new wave band who were formed in 1975 from Derry in Northern Ireland. The current band consists of the O'Neil brothers - John and Damian on guitars, Michael Bradely on Bass, Billy Doherty on drums and Paul McLoone. Former vocalist Feargal Sharkey left the band in 1983. Between 1977-1978 there was a punk phase of “new wave” music, which sent teenagers of the time craving for their tunes. The band have released six albums, of which “The Undertones” and “Hypnotised” are two of their most successful. We asked the fans what they love most about the band, how long they have followed them and what they enjoyed most about the gig. Were YOU there? Tell us what you think of The Undertones by posting a reply to this wall.
