Fulham v QPR

Event Date: 03/10/2011

Craven Cottage was the venue for the West London derby as Fulham hosted Premiership new boys QPR. Having won their last away game, Neil Warnock's men were looking for their first back to back Premier League victories since 1995. Meanwhile, Fulham were still on the search for their first Premiership win of the season and were hoping to match their previous seasons home record with their maiden win on this fine summers afternoon. The great atmosphere created at the Cottage was matched with constant goal mouth action, with Fulham taking an early lead through front man Andy Johnson. QPR evidently missed their injured defenders throughout and found themselves on the end of a 3-0 deficit at the break. Further goals from Andy Johnson, and Danny Murphy from the spot all but ended their chances in a torrid first half. The second half was no different, as Johnson completed his hat-trick and Dempsey and Zamora got in on the thrashing. Fulham fans were understandably delighted after the game, whilst QPR fans had to reflect on a pounding, perhaps lowering expectations of the season ahead. WinkBall video reporters were at the match and spoke to both sets of fans before and after the action. If you want your say, post on the wall below!
