Event Date: 09/04/2011

The King Blues are a political band who have fused ska and folk with influences from punk and hardcore punk bands like Public Enemy, The Clash, The Specials, Black Flag and Minor Threat. Their sound has been described as 'rough, radical music that should unsettle the rulers of this country' and they have been called a new generation of musicians who have risen up as defiant retribution against the war-monger politicians and their minions. In June 2006 they released their debut album 'Under The Fog' and later the single 'Mr Music Man' which was voted Best Punk Song of 2006 by Radio 1. Their Trojan horse of punk and poetry is music played hard and constructed in a magnificently meaningful manner that makes it appealing to people of many generations. Winkball citizen video reporters Henry, Tommy and Sara were at KOKO on Friday, 8th April 2011, asking the fans what they like about The King Blues, for their favourite songs they would like to hear and their highlights of the show.
