Black Country Communion at Manchester Academy

Black Country Communion at Manchester Academy

WinkBall citizen video reporters were at Manchester Academy on Saturday 30th July 2011 for Black Country Communion. The Anglo-American rock supergroup consists of former Deep Purple bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes, Led Zep's John Bonham's son Jason, Derek Sherinian of Dream Theater and iconic blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa. Despite being together less than 2 years after a coming together of minds, Black Country Communion have formed and released two albums in the space of the last 10 months. Headed by lead single 'Man In The Middle', BCC's second full-length - simply titled '2' - was set to build on the success of their debut. WinkBall reporters were at their Manchester Academy gig to talk to their fans about the band's members, as well as to get reviews of how the new material sounds live. Blown away by a quartet of 'rock gods', Black Country Communion's fans say that the band aren't a gimmicky supergroup that will fade away; they're in it for the long haul! Were YOU at Manchester Academy tonight? What did you make of Black Country Communion's new songs? What's your favourite supergroup of all time? Upload your thoughts below and have your say!
