The Silver Soirée - The National Aids Trust’s 25th Birthday Celebration.

Dame Denise Platt DBE - NAT Chair

This year marks the 25th birthday of the National AIDS Trust (NAT) and to mark the occasion we are turning our flagship fundraising event; Spring Awakening, into a celebratory birthday party – the Silver Soirée. The event takes place on 17 May at 11 Cavendish Square – a stylish and classic setting. There will be a range of special birthday touches at the event, including an exclusive birthday cocktail created by Eric Lorincz, mixologist at The Savoy, and there will be an exhibition of Red Ribbon artwork created by a range of high profile supporters – including Gok Wan, Annie Lennox and Pan Ann – as birthday gifts for NAT. The fabulous fundraiser will also host a mini auction, tombola, and raffle – giving all guests the chance to win some exclusive and exciting prizes whilst donating towards NAT’s vital work. NAT has been carrying out its HIV policy and campaigning work for the past 25 years and now more than ever we rely on the generosity of our friends and supporters to enable us to continue championing the rights of people with HIV. There are more people living with HIV in the UK than ever before and around a quarter do not know they have the virus. HIV related stigma and prejudice has not gone away, and many of the public remain ill-informed about HIV. This event is an opportunity to not only commemorate the achievements of the past 25 years but to raise awareness and fundraise so our important work can continue well into the future.
