Mark Bright is enjoying the exhibition so far and finds himself drawn to Jessica's work, which is very creative and colourful. He loves the concept of the exhibition but he is more interested in the art, no matter where the exhibition may be it's the art that comes first.

Urban art is a concept that has evolved dramatically over the years. Many people these days still categorize the art form under the misnomer of ‘street’ and /or ‘graffiti’, creating somewhat misleading images of the actual process. Urban art is helping to define a new and emerging social order, and as post-hoc interpretation, it has become a relevant historical movement. “BEST OF BRITISH URBAN ART” showcases various styles and techniques featuring a combination of abstract, figurative paintings and pop art. Mark making, mixed media, silk screen prints, spray cans and stencils are the tools of choice for each of the playful and rhythmically vivid artists on display, who draw influences from legends like Bacon Kandinsky, Pollock Rauschenberg and Warhol as well as the Classic Masters. WinkBall citizen video reporters Jess and Nkechi were at II Bottaccio on Friday, 17th June 2011, to talk to the artist, celebrities and audience to find out what makes British Urban Art so special.
