Fulham v Liverpool

Event Date: 10/05/2011

There are two very important things that Fulham will remember after their encounter with Liverpool. One is Maxi Rodriguez and the other Luis Suarez. The South Americans were a force of nature as The Reds dominated a game that would end in them securing a 5-2 victory over The Cottagers. Fulham struggled to contain their opposition in the first-half which saw Liverpool speed to a 3-0 lead within the first 16 minutes, with Maxi creating a dream opening as he swept in a goal after only 32 seconds. Maxi would later go on to score a hat-trick. It was clear that Fulham were not mentally in the game, however they managed to collect themselves enough to push a counter strike in the second-half. Dembele’s goal kept hopes alive and Sidwell’s smashing 25-yard half-volley goal was arguably the best of the night. But a magnificent game and late goal by Suarez sealed their fate. It would appear that under the new guidance of Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool has risen with a new vigour. If they keep this form up they will be among next season's contenders. Our reporters were at Craven Cottage to ask Liverpool fans for match predictions, players to watch and messages for manager Kenny Dalglish. After the match we gathered match reports and discovered who the fans thought was man of the match. Were YOU there? If we missed you, please record a wink and share your thoughts!
