Maverick Sabre at Jazz Cafe

Maverick Sabre is an Irish singer and rapper who was born in Hackney, London in the United Kingdom. His music is associated with genres from R&B and folk as he is known for his unique eerie vocals and impressive guitar play. Sabre's career began in 2008 when he featured in two songs 'Lucky' and 'Used To Blame' on the album 'Sense The Terror' by Irish rappers, Terawritz and Nu-Centz. He followed this up by collaborating on three tracks on Jermicide & Danny Digg's album 'Middle Class'. On November 2010 Sabre released his debut mix tape called, 'The Travelling Man' in the United Kingdom, which was a free digital download, featured the track 'Sometimes' and was accompanied with a promotional video. Sabre guested on Chase & Status's album, 'No More Idols' on the track 'Fire in Your Eyes' and featured with Professor Green's single 'Jungle' on the 2010 album 'Alive Till Im Dead'. The single debuted at number 34 on the UK Singles chart and peaked at 31 the following week. Winkball citizen video reporters Sadekur and Nkechi were at the Jazz Cafe on Thursday, 9th June 2011, asking the fans what they like about his music and his fusion of hip hop reggae and folk and for their favourite tracks.
