Fans “got it bad” and were like “OMG!” as R‘n’B superstar Usher took centre stage at music venue on the 10th June at Hammersmith Apollo in London. It all got a little too much for some fans as they were “caught up” in the emotion of it all as the legendary singer songwriter performed his timeless catalogue of chart hits. A night to remember for all his die-hard fans, Usher put on a storming set that captured the imagination of the crowd throughout the evening and finished with an unforgettable “climax”. Now going strong for over twenty years, Usher has achieved phenomenal success in his long and distinguished career, scoring a string of number one hits, platinum selling albums and a clutch of awards and distinctions. Even in his busy schedule as a musical recording artist, the man still has had time to fashion out a movie career starring in hit movies the likes of ‘She’s All That’ and ‘The Faculty’. Hitting the big time in 2001 with third album ‘8701’, songs like “U Got It Bad” and “U Remind Me” confirmed Usher as one of the top musical acts around and an artist who could produce infectious hit after hit. Inspired by the work of iconic and legendary pop act Michael Jackson, Usher has also been known to incorporate slick dance moves into his numbers and outstanding choreography. Now only recently releasing new album ‘Looking 4 Myself’, Usher has been busily promoting the new record, which in turn has been received well with positive reviews and great commercial success. Performing to his adoring army of UK fans, Usher was at the Hammersmith Apollo on Monday 11th June 2012 playing all the classics plus a few new tracks from the latest album, including recent single “Climax”. WinkBalll video reporters Archie and Fred were speaking to fans and asking what had brought them down to the gig and what they love about Usher as an artist.
