Carl Barat is an English musician, actor and author who is best known for being the co-frontman with Pete Doherty of the garage rock band The Libertines. On his new solo self titled album he has demonstrated his ability to construct songs that speak directly to the listener while at the same time indulging in a charming sense of prophecy that is quite abstract from reality. As part of the iconic NME awards which is running through the whole month of February and spread across some of London's best music venues, Carl Barat was at The 100 Club in central London.
