Despite being better known for its unsigned and underground music scene, London proved once again that it is still a great city for hosting huge mainstream artists. Hyde Park was again the location for the 2012 edition of the Barclaycard Wireless Festival, which saw a whole host of Britain and America’s top selling artists hit the city.
Now in its eighth year, Wireless has played a huge role in the British music scene. Never struggling to attract the big names, former headliners include; Jay-Z, Kanye West, The Black Eyed Peas and many more. This year saw Deadmau5, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna headline the festival in the royal park.
With British summertime living up to its usual wet reputation, pop music fans put on their wellies to go and dance in the mud to their favourite artists.
WinkBall reporters captured the passion of the music fans on Friday 6th July as they headed entered Hyde Park, eagerly anticipating seeing artists such as Deadmau5, Maverick Sabre, The Roots and much more.
