Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions is the seed of music's future or is it the fruit of music's past? Who knows exactly where it fits into the scheme of the grand symphony? What it seems to be, for a lot of the biggest artists in the world, is a platform to get on to really enjoy their music again with people who care about more than being cool or what people think. It has revived a sense of purpose in music to help some of the less fortunate than ourselves and travel the great distances that other avenues cannot reach in peoples hearts. Most importantly, Little Noise Sessions help share our love of life with each other, if only for a brief moment before getting back to the financial worries of it all. These sessions, hosted by Jo Whiley, have been going on once a year since 2006 and all proceeds are donated to the Mencap charity. This particular session featured the sound waves of Example, Ed Sheeran, Birdy and Fenech Soler. A fine evening of sharing and caring was expected. Winkball reporters were there to ask why people were there and what they thought of the evening’s experience. Were you there? Record your thoughts on the evening and share some happiness with your folk!
