On Sunday 12th February 2012, a comedy battle ensued at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire where the best of African stand up comedy talent took on the best comedic talent that West Indies had to offer in Comedy Warehouse : Africa vs. West Indies - Valentine’s Special. Featuring a wide variety of top comedy talent the likes of Eddie Kadi, Kevin J, Mr Frasier, Axel, Tony Hendriks, Kane Brown, BabaTunde, Prince Abdi and Funmbi, this was certain to be an epic comedy battle which showcased some of the circuit’s most popular acts. Who would come out on top and be triumphant in this comedy contest? WinkBall video reporters Archie and Alicia were at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire to speak to the many comedy fans that had come down to see what promised to be a fun filled evening. Asking people who there favourite comedians are and who they have come to see perform, fans were also asked what aspects of both African and West Indian comedy do they most enjoy and why do they think it has become increasingly popular?
