An eight-strong British modern pentathlon team prepare to contest the second World Cup event of the year in Italy. 2011 is particularly important for the athletes as the first quota places for the London Olympics 2012 are up for grabs. Mhairi Spence leads the British challenge fresh from her silver medal in Palm Springs. She is joined by Samantha Murray, currently ranked 17th in the world, and by Freyja Prentice and Katy Livingston. World number 20 Nick Woodbridge heads the men's challenge, looking to improve on his 7th place in Palm Springs, and he is joined by fellow Beijing 2008 Olympian Sam Weale. Jamie Cooke and Nick Zissler complete the British team. WinkBall reporters travelled to Bath to talk to some of the athletes.
