Winkball reporte Heather was Newcastle City hall talking to fans about Stephen K Amos
Starting life as a compere in London, Stephen came to prominence after being nominated for best compere by Chortle three times. His comedic style varies but he tends to make light of political correctness issues and is loved for it. He is also one of the few openly gay black comedians in the UK and he has received awards from his work looking into this, most profoundly for the programme “Batty Boy” in which he looked into how homosexuality was treated by Black people in the UK and Jamaica. On a lighter note, he has appeared on numerous panel shows and is a regular on Live at the Apollo, as well as having his own show on a Saturday night. It seems that life is really on the up for Stephen. Winkball was at Newcastle City Hall talking to his fans about their favourite jokes of his and where they first saw him.
