Harry Bucknall at "In The Dolphin's Wake" book launch

Event Date: 10/06/2011

WinkBall citizen video reporters Zoe, Silvia and Sara were at the book launch for "In The Dolphin's Wake" at the Wellington Barracks in St James Park. Harry Bucknall was born in London and brought up in Dorset, where his love of the sea and travel was nurtured from an early age sailing and exploring around Brownsea Island, Sandbanks and Poole Harbour. The Dolphin’s Wake is the tale of Harry Bucknall’s travels from Venice in the West to Istanbul in the East: a journey across the Aegean of over 8,000 kilometres that included the glories of Mount Athos, 36 islands and every island chain in the Greek Archipelago; 57 sea passages on 35 ferries, 4 landing craft, 3 hydrofoils, a fishing caique, a sea plane, 11 buses, 2 trains, an open top Land Rover and a duck egg blue 1961 Morris Oxford. WinkBall Video Reporters interviewed attendees who came to support Harry's book launch. We asked them their thoughts on "In The Dolphin's Wake", if they have visited any of the Greek Islands, and if they were to write a story of their own, what would it feature.
