So what is it about the Chelsea Flower Show that earns its worldwide critical acclaim? Perhaps the champagne zone may have something to do with it. It was certainly a hit with the likes of Penny Smith and Anneka Rice. This year, one of the show’s latest innovations is ‘Fresh’, an area aimed to display a new twist on the traditional garden. Boasting impressively sculpted and elaborately designed gardens, ‘Fresh’ was sure to make an impression this year. WinkBall Reporters headed down to the show at Royal Hospital Chelsea for this year’s celebrity day on Monday, 21st May 2012. We asked the famous attendees for their top gardening tip this year. And of course, the burning question on every Chelsea Flower Show veteran’s mind, ‘What should win "plant of the year 2012?”’ Here’s what the famous faces (who probably all have gardeners anyway) had to say.
