iTunes Festival: White Lies, The Naked and Famous & Alice Gold at The Roundhouse

The combination of ‘Dark’ and ‘uplifting’ are two words you don’t associate with many artists but successful English Indie-rock band ‘White Lies’ continue to embrace the limelight as they headlined on day 13 of the iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in Camden. Having debuted with breakthrough singles ‘Unfinished Business’ and ‘Death,’ which earned them mainstream recognition, they went on to release album ‘To Lose My Life...’ in 2009 which made number one in the UK charts. Performing new songs from latest album ‘Ritual,’ the band put on a performance to remember for a packed Roundhouse crowd. They were preceded on stage by supporting acts ‘Alice Gold’ and ‘The Naked and Famous,’ who brought a fan club of their own. The latter in particular had the crowd widely anticipating their performance and did themselves no harm as fans described the Kiwi band as ‘awesome’ and ‘amazing!’ WinkBall video reporters Anthony, Oliver and Lucy were at the Roundhouse on Wednesday, 13th July to ask fans who they were looking forward to seeing and after the gig, for a review of the night!
