This year's Pentecost Festival promises to be the biggest and best so far in the young life of the festival. Pentecost Festival is scheduled to take place from the 3rd to the 12th of June. The festival which first took place in 2008 is organised by Christian organisations and churches to celebrate the birth of the church. The vision of the festival is to challenge the Church to engage with the world, to give an opportunity for people of no faith and other faiths to discover more about Jesus and to celebrate the church's birthday. The multiculturalism and diversity of the Christian faith is brought to light onto the streets of London by the use of comedy, sport, arts, music, drama, film, debates and discussions. Amongst the various exciting programmes planned are live gigs, theatre and a comedy show which was held on Thursday 9th June, 2011 at The George Pub. WinkBall video reporters Joshua and Carla were there to cover the programme and the show called Laughter Lounge featured Regular host and compere Andy Kind, John Moloney, Paul Tonkinson and John Archer. Our reporters found out from the attendants their expectations for the night, what it means to them to be Christians in 2011 and what happiness they have received in their lives. Let us know what you thought about the comedians and the show by recording a reply to this wall on this site!
