Another record breaking event, hits Cape Town. One of Cape Town’s most popular half marathons, The Outsurance Gun Run at Green Point on the 9th October 2011 ,close to 11 000 participants lined up to take part in the 10km and 5km run/walk on a hot and sunny Sunday morning in Cape Town. The heat presented a challenge for the runners in certain sections of the routes. The Cape Field Artillery will again be at the event to fire the gun that starts all three distances and then again at 10h00 to mark the cut-off.
