Event Date: 07/08/2011

The Royal Albert Hall hosted the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain on Saturday, 6th August 2011. The first half of the fascinating evening in this historic arena saw DJ Switch and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain collaborate to perform Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra, originally by Gabriel Prokofiev. The audience was also fascinated to hear artist Benjamin Grosvenor take on Benjamin Britten’s Piano Concerto in the first half of the night. After the break, Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet took centre stage as Prokofiev’s ballet music recalled the couple’s doomed love. On a night to remember at this prestigious arena, the audience showed WinkBall video reporters their appreciation of the performers. If you want your say, post on the wall below!
