Karina Bryant is part of the Great Britain judo squad. Competing since a young age, Karina tells WinkBall how she got into the sport and what is it about the sport that appealed to her. Winning a bronze medal at the recent European Championships, Karina talks about how she felt about her performance and how her training is going for what will be her fourth Olympic games this summer.

Perhaps the most established judokas in the Great Britain squad with a vast amount of experience under her belt, Karina Bryant will be hoping tot ake this experience on board and use it to win gold at this year’s London 2012 Olympics. Winning a clutch of bronze, silver and gold medals in various World and European Championships since has far back as 1998, Katrina has yet to take home a medal from an Olympic games despite having competed in three Olympics, the most recent being Beijing 2008. Planning retirement for when the 2008 games were over, it was the announcement that London would be hosting the games in 2012 that spurred Karina on to go for a fourth games in front of a home crowd and cap off her career in style. London 2012 will arguably be a fantastic way to finish her career and Karina of course hopes to emulate European and World Championship success for the Olympic games and take gold.
