An international eruption of dance exploded over Crystal Palace Park on Sunday, 22nd July 2012, as the iconic Concert Bowl came alive with breathtaking performances and a record breaking Zumba dance. From samba to flamenco, from Bollywood to hip hop, the Big Dance Carnival is one of thousands of events in the UK produced to celebrate dance as part of the Big Dance 2012 - the UK’s biggest ever celebration of dance. The day began with Brazilian Samba masters, Paraiso parading through the park before a full day of breathtaking performances and workshops built up to a grande finale which saw the official World Record Zumba attempt in aid of Harris Hospiscare. The event attracted fans from all over the world and proved to be a great family day out for all ages, abilities and interests.
