The X-Factor Live Tour 2012: Wembley Arena

Event Date: 05/03/2012

It’s THE X FACTOR... and it’s live! Featuring the final nine acts (but shh, not Frankie Cocozza due to all his hullabaloo on the show). And of course they’re back at Wembley Arena to perform their customary live show, this time without the nail-biting, lyric-forgetting, dance-routine-failing threat of elimination. I guess that’s still as fun. Need a reminder of that final nine (surely not)? Tulisa’s little muffins, Little Mix, made ‘history’ as the first girl group to win the X Factor – quite the coup considering the infamous ‘curse of the girl bands’ that haunted the early stages of the previous years’ competitions. The tabloids have spilled this little non-secret already, but the 2011 X Factor winners will be joined on stage by none other than the most famous and commercially successful X Factor contestants, JLS! *Excited girl squeal*. Joining the girls will be ballsy Misha B – no doubt with excessive shoulders and elongated fingernails – 50s loving bopper, Marcus Collins, the enigmatic Irish girl Janet Devlin, unique and charismatic Johnny Robinson, ballad perfectionist Craig Colton, the infamous Kitty Brucknell – who knows what she’ll be bringing to the stage! – boy band and teen-faves The Risk, and finally the comeback girl and pretty rock-chick Amelia Lily. Phew! That’s quite a list already! No doubt the acts will be performing their favourites from the show, so if you’re a fan of the ITV series, then this is the chance to get closer to the extroverted antics and impressive pyrotechnics. And as well as JLS, those at the live tour are guaranteed a few extra surprises (though surely not as good as the ‘Beat Again’ boys?!) in the return of some of the show’s more, ahem, memorable performers as well. With so many diverse acts to choose from, there’s a little something for everyone at the X Factor tour this year – but which act is the crowd favourite? Perhaps it changes after they’ve seen the live show? Seeing as JLS are performing, they are the ultimate benchmark for X Factor success – let’s not forget, they weren’t official winners – which of the 2011 acts do they think can emulate, or come even close, to their success?
