Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

WinkBall citizen video reporters were at Old Trafford on Monday 22nd August for the Premiership clash between champions Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. With the new season still in its infancy, cash-rich Manchester City had already taken pole position with two victories in their opening two games. It was down to rivals United to follow suit, against a Spurs side playing their first fixture - the previous week's encounter with Everton postponed due to the riots. With the visitors depleted in central midfield, one of the youngest United sides ever to take the field came out triumphant with 3 second half goals. Danny Welbeck, Anderson and Wayne Rooney all finding the net, as the new kids on the block Phil Jones, Ashley Young and youth product Tom Cleverley all continued their impressive displays of late. WinkBall reporters were on hand to find out what both sets of fans thought about the contest, before and after the action. Supporters also spoke about their hopes for the rest of the transfer window - do Manchester United still need to sign Wesley Sneijder? Can Spurs keep hold of Luka Modric? An impressive performance from the hosts, with an energetic squad that can only improve. The Londoners will have been disappointed, particularly after holding more than their own in the first half. A long season lies ahead however, and they will have been thankful for getting one of the toughest tests out of the way so early on. Were YOU at Old Trafford tonight? What did you make of the game? Is Danny Welbeck now a rightful starter in United's XI? Where do Spurs need to strengthen, regardless of Modric's future? Upload your thoughts in a video below and have your say!
