Michael is very much looking forward to the olympic games but is gutted that he didn't end up getting tickets after applying. He's looking into volunteering at the games to have some sort of experience. He believes it will be positive for London and will be interested to see how England will be post games.
Six years has past since Trafalgar Square celebrated London’s unexpected triumph, winning the rights to host the world’s biggest sporting event. On Wednesday 27th July 2011 crowds gathered again to mark the countdown of the remaining year. Speeches from David Cameron and Boris Johnson proudly declared the Olympics as ‘on time’ and ‘on budget’ with several stadiums already complete. Present was Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee, who traditionally invite athletes to participate a year before the games commence. WinkBall video reporters were at Trafalgar Square asking attendees what they are most looking forward to about the Olympics, if they think London will be a good host and what their favourite Olympic moments are.
