London Gay Men's Chorus: Royal Festival Hall

Event Date: 08/05/2012

The London Gay Men’s Chorus is a group of men from around the UK, who perform a wide variety of music. From classical to chart topping pop numbers, they cover all genres in a very unique and interesting manner. The group first performed in 1991 with only six men, today they boast over 200 members, they have continued to grow and flourish into the largest gay choir in Europe. By performing as an identifiably gay group, the LGMC challenge preconceptions about homosexuality, music and society. The London Gay Men’s Chorus celebrated their 21st anniversary by performing for the first time at Royal Festival Hall on Sunday the 6th of May 2012. Winkball video reporters Lucio Cesare Casellato and Lucy Wragg were present to ask the audience, what inspired them to attend the concert, whether they enjoyed the event, and if they believe the London Gay Men’s Chorus has really challenged perceptions.
