Imagine Children's Literature Festival: Southbank Centre

Imagine Children's Literature Festival: Southbank Centre

Once upon a time, but not that long ago, well actually on Saturday, 18th February, WinkBall citizen reporters Julia and Oliver, braved the freezing streets of London to find out what the children thought of Imagine. Not the very famous John Lennon song of the same name, that brings a tear to Great Grandma’s eye, but Imagine Children’s festival of literature, music, comedy and performance that took place at the Southbank Centre on the banks of Old Father Thames. With guest appearances and readings from the likes of Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, story teller James Campbell and Brian Patten conjures up ghosts and goblins in his charmingly titled poetry show (confessional?) The Day I Got My Finger Stuck Up My Nose. Lets hope not much else got stuck up anybody’s nose and everyone, old and young had lots of fun!
