Event Date: 18/10/2011

Xzibit is a household name in hip-hop, having worked with some of the industry’s hottest artists including Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. He moved to Los Angeles from Detroit at age fourteen and began to pursue a career in rap music. His breakthrough came after getting noticed by Dr.Dre, who produced Xzibit’s third studio album Restless with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre and the Alkaholiks on the tracks. With such backing, the rapper could enjoy his well-earned place in the world of West Coast hip-hop. To the rest of the world he is known for being the host of popular TV show Pimp My Ride on MTV, which has also helped promote him as a rap artist and introduce him to a wider audience. He played to an audience of die-hard fans at the O2 Academy Islington on Tuesday, 18th October, who anticipated time-tested classics and new material from his forthcoming album Restless 2.
